Intensive Class - Beginners: |
The text for this course is Learn Spanish the Easy Way which is supplemented with excercises,
conversation, and visuals. |
Intensive Class - Intermediate: |
We use the 2nd Year Workbook continuing with lots of conversation- dialogues, visuals, etc. |
Intensive Week - Beginners: |
See the description for Spanish I below. After Intensive Week students will continue by joining the Spanish I(Cont) class. |
Intensive Week - Intermediate: |
Instructor will bring appropriate materials according to students’ abilities
and knowledge of Spanish. Students will be given ample opportunities to converse in Spanish. |
Spanish I |
The text for this course is Learn Spanish the Easy Way. Supplemented with teacher's own materials for additional practice. The textbook has 34 units with conversation and different practical situations. Emphasis on vocabulary building to develop conversational skills for travel and communication with native speakers - some verbs and some grammar. I conduct special exercises to encourage speaking ability and memory retention and have students understand a Spanish speaking native speaking at normal conversational speed. |

We will continue the Learn Spanish the Easy Way with lesson #5. |
Spanish II |
We will continue the Learn Spanish the Easy Way excercises with lesson #10 and continue conversation. I continue to conduct special exercises to have students understand a Spanish speaking native speaking at normal conversational speed. |
Spanish II (cont.) |
We will continue the Learn Spanish the Easy Way with lesson #18. |
Spanish III |
We continue with Lesson #1 in Sentirlo. We will study the imperfect tense and other tenses: preterite, present perfect, present progressive, etc. If you want to start learning the tenses, come to this class . Learn the tenses with lots of practice in an easy manner. Lots of conversation in Spanish, share ideas, news, videos of interest, etc. Course enriched with DESTINOS videos where a wealthy Mexican patriarch reveals a long kept secret. Join and learn Spanish in a rich and diversified cultural context in Spain, Mexico, Argentina.

Spanish III (cont.) |
We will continue using Español: A Sentirlo and it's workbook. Starting this semester with lesson #7 in the Monday class and #10 in the Wednesday class: present subjunctive, imperfect subjunctive, future, etc. tenses. |
Intermediate Conversational Workshops |
We will use micro-conversations, read articles of interest for discussion, watch some videos, have conversation while reviewing and practicing the verb tenses and other grammar. We practice special exercises to have students understand a Spanish speaking native speaking at normal conversational speed. Lots of conversation and sharing of ideas, news, etc. |
Int./Advanced Conversational Workshops |
This group wants to move to a more advanced level of conversation as well as understanding and practicing the grammar. They will continue using 3rd Year Spanish Wrkbook, articles, TV programs - We will have lots of conversations in Spanish. |
Advanced Conversational Workshops |
Usaremos "El Arte de la Conversación y El Arte de la Composición" - Sexta edición. Desarrolle mas habilidad para conversar, dar sus opiniones e ideas con temas muy interesantes. Esta clase desarrollará su vocabulario mas ampliamente para conversar en español. Continuaremos viendo videos con noticias y programas de interés. Participe activamente con sus ideas y opiniones. Mucha conversación. |
